Affinity Trust is proud to have opened a new supported living location in Preston, working in partnership with Progress Housing and Lancashire County Council (LCC).

This new development has created high-quality, purpose-built homes designed around what people need to live well. The first tenants moved in during March 2026, taking an important step towards greater independence in a home of their own.

Alongside the new homes, our dedicated team focused on making move-in a positive experience for people and their families. Big Plan sessions helped people shape their support in their own words, build relationships with the team early, and prepare for day-to-day life in their new community.

We’re incredibly proud of the hard work our team has put into this landmark opening. Support workers and managers alike have tailored support to what matters to each of the people moving in. We also got families involved early and reassured them throughout the process with clear, person-centred plans.

As more flats are allocated, we will continue to support the new people moving in throughout he process, shaping support around their goals.

This significant milestone demonstrates our ongoing commitment to working with local partners to enable people we support to live life their own way, with safety and dignity as part of their local community.
