All involved agree to go for the second option.
As part of its grant application, Affinity Trust pilots the new learning disability housing design guide. These are standards the NHS has set to improve the quality of buildings it funds.
Affinity Trust is also piloting the Design Quality Indicator process for use in accommodation for people with learning disabilities. This a quality assurance process used by the NHS.
Workshops are held with Affinity Trust, NHS and local authority stakeholders to quality-assure the design.

Affinity Trust is awarded £1m by the NHS to build the bungalows.
Hinckley and Bosworth Council give planning permission for the scheme.
